Business & Advertiser Terms
Version: 2026-07-11 · Effective: 11 July 2026
Stellenmedia (Pty) Ltd operates the Seekulu platform. These Business & Advertiser Terms ("Business Terms") supplement our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Hosts who claim a listing, submit a new listing request, activate the host portal, or manage a business profile agree to these Business Terms.
1. Eligibility and onboarding
- Representatives of Hosts must be authorised to represent the business.
- Claiming a seeded listing or submitting a new off-seed listing request requires Seekulu staff review before the listing goes live on the map.
- One Supabase login may link to both a camper profile and business membership.
- Host accounts (campsites, lodges, parks) use the host portal today. Brand / advertiser accounts (outdoor retailers, manufacturers) are planned for a later phase and will be subject to these Business Terms when the brand portal opens.
2. Listing accuracy
Hosts agree to:
- Provide accurate business name, location, contact details, and material attributes;
- Update listing information when material facts change;
- Not misrepresent availability, pricing, or facilities.
We may reject, hide, or remove listings that are fraudulent, duplicate, or materially inaccurate.
3. Listing imagery and feed rules
- Listing cover images uploaded via the host or admin portal appear on the Host's place detail page only — they are not organic feed posts and must not be used to bypass feed rules.
- Hosts must not author organic feed posts as campers. Commercial presence is limited to:
- The map listing / place detail page;
- Labelled sponsored units when offered;
- Host replies to reviews where enabled.
- Hosts will not use camper accounts to astroturf reviews or posts.
4. Leads and inquiries
During Phase 1 beta, Seekulu logs inquiry events (e.g. tap-to-call, tap-to-WhatsApp) for analytics. Hosts are responsible for responding to campers through their own channels.
We do not guarantee a minimum number of inquiries.
5. Advertising and featured placement
When paid products launch in later phases:
- All ads must be clearly labelled as sponsored;
- Targeting must comply with our ad policy and South African advertising standards;
- Hosts are responsible for ad creative accuracy.
Pricing and packages will be published before purchase.
6. Bookings
In-app campsite booking ("Host Reserve") will be optional and governed by separate booking terms. Until then, Seekulu does not process guest payments on behalf of Hosts.
7. Fees
Phase 1 beta: claiming, submitting, and maintaining a basic live listing is free. Paid tiers may be introduced later with notice.
8. White-label and branding
All listings and embeds remain Seekulu-branded. Removable-logo or co-branded portals are not offered.
9. Termination
We may suspend or remove business access for policy violations, chargeback abuse when billing exists, or repeated inaccurate listings. Hosts may stop using the host portal at any time; camper accounts remain subject to the general Terms.
10. Changes
We may update these Business Terms from time to time. When we publish a new version, we will post it at /legal/business-terms with an updated version date. Hosts will be prompted to accept the updated terms before continuing to manage listings. By not accepting such updated terms, Hosts will no longer be able to use the Seekulu platform.
